Dream meanings
There are many theories on why we dream but none of them have been confirmed.
Researchers have divided into 2 sides, those who believe dreams have no purpose (psychology team) who claim that dreams are just random impulses from the brain; many others think they have a symbolic meaning. On the other hand, the other side think that dreams are necessary for one’s mental, physical, and emotional health.
In the early 1970's, Allan Hobson and Robert McCarley researched more of the older psychoanalytic ideas and claimed that dreams might be caused by random electrical brain impulses that pulled bits of memories in the brain. They also added that instead of making a logical story, the brain wants to make sense of the memory and creates things.
Although it might be the case of forgetting, there has been a research that claims people who aren’t able to dream have
-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Stress
-
Tendency to hallucinate
-
Weight gain
-
Lack of coordination
-
Hard times concentrating

Throughout the many theories, experts have narrowed it down to several things. They have concluded that dreams exist to help solve problems in our lives, incorporate memories, and process emotions. However, this is yet to be confirmed. In short, the reasons why we dream could be because our brains are recapping memories and/or events of the day so hey may mean nothing at all
