Types of dreams

There are several types of dreams known as shown below.

Lucid dreams

  • Where you know you’re dreaming, you can control what you do. It comes from the activity of parts of the brain where usually rest during sleep. 

  • It is a state between REM sleep and being awake

  • When dreaming this, it is possible to control the story, however, experts say it is best to just let your dreams flow naturally

 

Nightmares

Nightmares are a bad dream, they are caused because

of various reasons, the main ones are:

  • Stress and/or fear

  • Trauma

  • Emotional problems

  • Medication or drug use

  • Illnesses

 

  • When you keep getting the same nightmare it might be your subconsciousness telling you somethings. It’s recommended to visit a mental health care provider 

 

Incubated dreams

  • Ability to plant a seed for  a specific dream you want

  • This is different from lucid dreaming, as you are focusing in a specific issue before going to sleep, while on the other hand lucid dreaming is being aware that you are currently asleep
